2nd UNIT Directing
Kylie brings a principal-unit sensibility to second unit, approaching each assignment through performance, story and visual continuity rather than simply coverage.
On MGM+ series Billy the Kid Season 1, Kylie directed second unit under director Otto Bathurst, working with principal cast as well as supporting performers, background and large-scale period elements. Her work included dramatic scenes, Western action and location material designed to integrate seamlessly with the principal unit. Several sequences and scenes she directed appear in the finished series, including principal-cast dramatic material.
On Netflix's My Life with the Walter Boys Season 1, Kylie directed second unit experience capturing additional story and visual material, further developing her ability to work efficiently within the established visual language and storytelling requirements of episodic television.
Her second unit work is grounded in the same priorities she brings to all directing: performance, cinematic composition, story clarity and an understanding of what the material needs to accomplish in the edit.
Screenwriting
Kylie is an award-winning screenwriter whose work spans feature film, television and short-form storytelling, with a particular affinity for psychologically complex, character-driven stories.
Her original screenplays include OUTLAW: The Personal Justice of Katie Watson, a 2026 Writers Lab Flagship International quarterfinalist; Whistling in the Dark, which placed in the top 10% of the Academy Nicholl Fellowships; and co-wrote the psychological thriller Reverence, which Kylie also directed and produced and which received a 2026 Rosie Award nomination.
Alongside her original work, Kylie brings extensive experience in script development, story analysis and notes, informed by her work as a director and within scripted television production.
Her writing explores morally complicated characters, identity, power and the choices people make when pushed beyond the boundaries of the lives they thought they knew.
CREATIVE SUPPORT
Kylie has extensive experience working alongside showrunners, directors and producers on large-scale scripted television, with a focus on the creative demands that sit between script, production and the finished screen.
Her television experience includes working closely with showrunners and directors on series including My Life with the Walter Boys and The Abandons, supporting the creative process from prep through production. Her work has encompassed script and story continuity, creative problem-solving, preparation for key production meetings, tracking story and character changes, communicating creative decisions across departments, and supporting directors and showrunners as material evolves through production.
With a background spanning directing, writing and production, Kylie brings a filmmaker's perspective to creative producing. She understands both the intention on the page and the practical realities of achieving it on screen, with particular strengths in story, character, performance and visual storytelling.
Her work is increasingly focused on creative producing and development roles, where she can contribute at a higher creative level while helping protect the project's storytelling intentions throughout production.
