Kylie Hitchcock
Kylie is an accomplished director and writer whose work has spanned more than a decade and screened at numerous international film festivals. Her films have earned accolades including Best Direction, Best Drama, Best Comedy, and Artist of the Year.
Her recent projects include writing and directing her second feature, Reverence, a psychological thriller, and directing Abeyance, a proof-of-concept short for Silverayne Productions. She also won Best Short Drama for My Missing Year; a biopic written by Stephen Foster.
Kylie brings extensive on-set experience as a 2nd Unit Director, with credits including Billy the Kid (MGM) and My Life with the Walter Boys (Netflix).
A prolific writer, Kylie has authored dozens of feature films, shorts, and web series, and regularly crafts synopses and marketing copy for international clients across the screen and hospitality industries.
She is a member of the Directors Guild of Canada and the Australian Writers’ Guild. Her formal training includes the UCLA Extension and NYU Professional Studies screenwriting programs, and she holds a Master of Education from the University of Tasmania.
Before transitioning to film, Kylie worked internationally as a professional chef and culinary instructor at the George Brown Chef School and the City University of New York. An adventurer at heart, she draws on her diverse life experiences to inform her storytelling and directorial approach.
